Kim Prentice
Managing Director Development & Operations
Kim Prentice heads NexCore Group’s design and construction group, in addition to spearheading company-wide development of enhanced systems and procedures to guide the firm’s rapid growth. His background in all aspects of real estate development, acquisitions and dispositions, and asset management, coupled with a strong client-service focus, enables him to oversee project delivery from team selection to occupancy to create successful and predictable project outcomes. His healthcare experience includes off-campus and on-campus hospital experience with a number of hospital systems.

In his more than 30 years of management-level experience, Kim has worked in a broad range of capacities with leading commercial real estate firms. Throughout his career he has managed the full development process (including site acquisition and leasing, as well as programming and design through construction administration and tenant improvements) on projects ranging from $100,000 to $210 million. Prior to joining NexCore, Kim was Director of Real Estate for the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority (FRA), where he was responsible for managing the FRA’s development activities on the largest medical-related redevelopment project in the United States, a $4.5 billion, 15 million square foot complex of lifescience facilities, including relocations of University of Colorado Hospital, University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, The Children’s Hospital, and Veterans Administration Hospital.

Kim earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Colorado. He is a licensed architect in the State of Colorado, a LEED Accredited Professional, and a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and the University of Colorado Real Estate Council.
