NexCore Group's team is comprised of experienced professionals with over 20 years of individual experience. Our development team's expertise includes all phases of real estate development and ownership from feasibility analysis, planning, design, and construction to leasing and long-term management.

NexCore's healthcare team has highly specialized knowledge of healthcare finance, hospital/physician strategic and business planning, best models and practices for the delivery of outpatient care, and legal structuring and compliance issues associated with hospital/physician interactions.



Greg Venn
President & Chief Executive Officer
Greg Venn co-founded NexCore Group to grow a national platform for the development, ownership, and management of healthcare real estate. Greg is responsible for the vision, growth, and profitability of NexCore. He directs the company’s day-to-day strategies, identifies new business opportunities, and assists managing directors with structuring financial solutions tailored to each individual project. With over 20 years of experience in real estate development, Greg has developed and/or managed projects ranging from 30,000 to 300,000 square feet and from $10 million to $100 million. His credentials include a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree, MBA studies with a Real Estate Finance & Construction Management emphasis, and Colorado Real Estate Broker License. Peter Kloepfer
Chief Investment Officer
A co-founder of NexCore Group, Peter Kloepfer is pivotal to the company’s strategic planning. His leadership drives the structure of NexCore’s development and acquisitions projects, the evaluation and negotiation of capital and debt sources, and major project delivery. In his 24 years of real estate development financing and structuring, Peter has been responsible for over $2 billion of real estate transactions and has invested in more than $450 million of projects. Bob Gross
Chief Operating Officer 
A co-founder of NexCore Group, Bob Gross is responsible for leading the company's real estate management and business operations. Bob supervises NexCore's asset and property management operations, project finance, risk management, insurance compliance, and human resources. He has overseen the asset and property management of over $3 billion of real estate assets. He has also been involved with the structuring and closing of over $2 billion of real estate disposition, $800 million of acquisitions, and $2 billion of real estate financing for healthcare and commercial projects. Bob is a licensed CPA and Colorado Real Estate Broker. Full Bio

Robert Lawless
Chief Financial Officer
In his role as Chief Financial Officer and as a member of the senior executive team, Robert Lawless is responsible for accounting, tax, regulatory compliance and risk management oversight, while also focusing on capital raising, investor relations, and strategic planning. Robert has over 20 years of experience performing various financial and operational roles within public and private sector domestic and international real estate companies. Jarrod Daddis
Executive Managing Director Development & Acquisitions 
In his role as lead development executive, Jarrod Daddis ensures the overall success and implementation of each project. He coordinates all phases of the development process including transaction structuring, strategy, design and construction team selection, leasing, and sales/marketing. Bill Maggard
Managing Director Development & Acquisitions
Based in Chicago, Bill Maggard directs NexCore’s efforts in the Midwest Region. His experience includes leading medical office feasibility studies for hospitals and health systems; initiating marketing and leasing campaigns for investor-owned, hospital-sponsored medical office developments; and raising and deploying capital for medical office building acquisitions and new development. Bill has led the development of over 400,000 square feet and the management of over 900,000 square feet of medical office property. Mervyn Alphonso
Managing Director Development 
Based in Bethesda, Mervyn Alphonso directs NexCore's efforts in the Eastern Region. Tim Oliver
Senior Vice President Healthcare Development

Justin Pawlak
 Vice President Development
Justin Pawlak is involved in all aspects of the business development process for NexCore Group. His responsibilities include evaluating target markets, establishing new client relationships, and determining project feasibility. In addition to his business development efforts, Justin actively engages in leasing and marketing NexCore's new and existing development projects. Kim Prentice
Managing Director Development & Operations
Kim Prentice heads NexCore Group’s design and construction group, in addition to spearheading company-wide development of enhanced systems and procedures to guide the firm’s rapid growth. His background in all aspects of real estate development, acquisitions and dispositions, and asset management, coupled with a strong client-service focus, enables him to manage project delivery to create successful project outcomes. During his more than 30 years of experience, Kim has managed the full development process on projects ranging from $100,000 to $210 million. Rick Schroeder
Senior Vice President Development & Construction
Rick Schroeder is responsible for project management, implementation of procedures to enhance client relationships and retention, and improving the project delivery model for NexCore Group. For nearly 30 years Rick has worked in healthcare real estate on developer-led projects for prominent national health systems. He has managed a wide variety of project delivery components including master planning, site acquisition, development, design, construction, and commissioning on a wide range of product types including healthcare, senior living, and commercial facilities. John Lasell

Aaron Brewster
Vice President Development & Construction
Aaron Brewster is responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery from concept to completion, including design team and contractor selections, conceptual estimating, budgeting and forecasting, schedule management, process work flow, and quality control oversight. As a highly experienced project manager, Aaron brings specialized expertise to all phases of project development, including valued insight into the entitlement and due diligence process. Ed Christen
Senior Vice President Finance

Corporate Counsel
Tom McCarty coordinates and oversees the work with NexCore’s outside legal counsel and assists in the planning and structuring of business transactions. A seasoned transactional lawyer, Tom specializes in entity formation; business planning and structuring; mergers and acquisitions; and corporate, partnership and real estate taxation. He holds a Juris Doctorate degree and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association. Gaye Bass
Due Diligence Manager
Gaye Bass coordinates the due diligence process for construction and permanent debt, property acquisitions, new developments, and dispositions. She also administers leasing documentation and project files for new development and NexCore managed properties, and assists in the coordination of entity and real estate-fund documentation. Debbie Wedderburn
Vice President Asset & Property Management
Debbie Wedderburn’s role includes asset management, leasing, and overseeing NexCore Group’s property management group. Debbie currently manages a 1,035,000 square foot portfolio of 11 medical office buildings in five states that requires interaction with eight hospital systems. She focuses on maximizing income and value for property ownership while achieving what is important to tenants — an inviting, comfortable, and well maintained medical office suite for patients and staff. Courtney Hanfland
Vice President Asset Management & Leasing
Courtney Hanfland specializes in asset management, acquisitions and leasing, and maximizing the long-term value of each asset. The majority of her real estate experience has been spent working on value-add medical office building portfolios. Tony Maestas

Property Operations Manager
Tony Maestas is responsible for the overall property management of NexCore’s national portfolio totaling approximately 1.2 million square feet of healthcare and commercial facilities, including multi-tenant medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers, cancer treatment centers, and multi-storied office and mixed-use buildings. Tony manages vendor contracts, budgets, tenant coordination, local and national site visits, and special projects. Rob Beaudo
Mechanical Operations Manager
Rob Beaudo manages the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for NexCore Group’s portfolio of managed properties, which includes medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers, and cancer treatment centers. Rob is responsible for directing and monitoring each of the HVAC contractors to ensure proper maintenance of ventilation systems throughout the buildings, as well as comfortable and functional temperature controls. Steve Crain
Property Manager
Steve Crain provides on-site management for NexCore’s two medical office buildings located in Colorado Springs—Printers Park Medical Plaza and the Briargate Medical Campus—which total approximately 294,000 square feet. Kristi Fisher
Assistant Property Manager
Kristi Fisher assists the Property Manager with on-site management of NexCore’s two medical office buildings in Colorado Springs. Sam Psimoulis

Property Manager

Michelle Gayeski
Vice President Leasing
Michelle Gayeski is responsible for marketing, promoting, and leasing projects for NexCore Group and its clients, including tenant selection/qualification, procurement, proposal and lease negotiations, and tenant relations. She continually works to identify changes in the market environment and to develop, implement and measure competitive marketing and sales strategies. Michelle has 15 years of experience in commercial real estate development that includes healthcare, commerical office, and mixed-use projects. Amy Andresen
Vice President Leasing
Amy Andresen is integral to the marketing, promotion, and leasing of new and existing development projects for NexCore, including tenant selection/qualification, procurement, proposal and lease negotiations, and tenant relations. Her experience with sales and marketing of commercial real estate helps Amy identify changes in the marketing environment and develop competitive leasing strategies. Kristen Kelley
Vice President Leasing
Kristen Kelley is an integral part of the NexCore Group leasing team, assisting in all areas of the leasing process including marketing, research, prospecting, program development, and tenant relations/coordination. Kristen's background in personnel management has made her highly effective at communicating with and supporting physician tenants through the various phases of the leasing process from initial contact through suite design and buildout. Tracy Hindman
Marketing Director
Tracy Hindman manages the NexCore Group marketing department, providing direction for the corporate brand and preparation and writing of proposals, reports and presentations. She provides NexCore with marketing and graphic design expertise, as it applies to the design/construction and real estate development industries. Working closely with the CEO Greg Venn, Tracy manages the public relations and strategic positioning of NexCore in the marketplace. 


Gretchen Oswald
Office/IT Manager & Graphic Support
Gretchen Oswald manages the NexCore Group office as it relates to the physical aspects of the space. She also maintains all of the electronic and equipment needs for the company and acts as liaison to the off-site IT department. As a member of the NexCore marketing team, she provides graphic support and assists with the production of reports, proposals, and presentations.

Jena Sellers
Controller
Jena Sellers is responsible for NexCore Healthcare Capital Corp’s external reporting, investor relations, and corporate accounting as well as the accounting, reporting, and budgeting for our operating entities. She also assists with the Treasury function, tax compliance, and human resources. Jena has over 20 years of experience in Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, investor relations, corporate accounting, and ERP system design and implementation. Leslie Baker
Accounting Manager
Leslie Baker is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for development projects and various NexCore managed properties. She manages the accounting process for projects currently being developed, which includes submitting and reconciling the construction loan pay applications/draws and working closely with the lender on a monthly basis for the duration of the construction phase of the project. Development Coordinator
Jessica Wooton’s primary role is to support the Managing Directors and the Design and Construction team at NexCore Group.
