Rick Schroeder
Senior Vice President Development & Construction
Rick Schroeder is responsible for project management, implementation of procedures to enhance client relationships and retention, and improving the project delivery model for NexCore Group. Rick ensures successful outcomes with a full-spectrum management approach that includes establishing project metrics, leading the team selection process, managing design & construction disciplines, and ensuring that project economics integrate with budget and schedule parameters.

For nearly 30 years Rick has worked in healthcare real estate on developer-led projects for prominent national health systems. During the past 12 years, he has served as the owner’s representative and project manager on 10 mid-sized hospitals, specialty inpatient/outpatient facilities, and medical office buildings, including NexCore’s 182,000 GSF Medical Services Building at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois, and 69,000 GSF Corporate Headquarters for NorthBay Healthcare in Fairfield, California. Rick has managed a wide variety of project delivery components—including master planning, site acquisition, development, design, construction, and commissioning—for a wide range of product types including healthcare, senior living, and commercial facilities.

Rick earned a Bachelor of Architecture/5-year professional degree from Kansas State University. He is a licensed architect and has his National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) certification.
