As President and CEO, Greg Venn is responsible for the growth and profitability of NexCore Group. He directs the company's strategies and identifies new business opportunities. With over 20 years of experience in real estate development, he is imminently qualified to formulate and achieve NexCore Group's vision. Greg's history includes positions as an architect, real estate consultant, broker, and developer.
He has developed and/or managed projects valued from $10 million to over $45 million. In doing so, he led the following efforts: site acquisitions and planning, design and construction, due diligence, project cost analysis, and investment performance. Most recently, Greg structured, managed and closed an acquisition/disposition transaction in excess of $120 million in 2003.
Greg oversees all disciplines of NexCore Group, including real estate development, property acquisitions, asset and property management, investments, capital markets and finance, leasing, sales, and marketing and risk management.
Business administration, environmental design, planning, finance, and construction management define Greg's formal education. His credentials include a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder, highest honors from the College of Design and Planning at the University of Denver, an MBA with a Real Estate Finance & Construction Management emphasis from the University of Denver, and his Colorado Real Estate Broker License.
Greg is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
Bob Gross is responsible for corporate finance, accounting, systems and human resources. As CFO, he supervises all project construction loans, mezzanine debt and equity, permanent loan financing, and property acquisitions, as well as reporting and accounting for property and asset management.
Bob also develops and maintains relationships with local and national lending institutions.
With an excess of 18 years of real estate experience in various finance and development capacities, Bob is positioned to lead NexCore Group in its financial expansion plans. He has been involved in structuring and closing over $2.0 billion of real estate disposition, $800 million of acquisitions, and more than $2 billion of various types of real estate financing for healthcare and commercial projects.
Bob is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the North Dakota Society of CPAs, NAIOP, and Habitat for Humanity. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Minnesota State University, is a certified public accountant, and has a Colorado Real Estate Broker License.
Peter Kloepfer brings 23 years of real estate development financing and structuring experience to NexCore Group. He has been responsible for over $2 billion of real estate transactions and has invested in more than $450 million of projects.
Peter is pivotal to the company's strategic planning. His leadership drives the structure of NexCore's development and acquisitions projects, the evaluation and negotiation of capital and debt sources, and major project delivery.
Peter received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado and a Master of Law, specializing in taxation (LL.M.) from the University of Denver. He also has the Colorado CPA certification, and his ongoing industry involvement includes the American Bar Association, the American Society of CPAs, and the Colorado Bar Association and Colorado Association of CPAs.
Tom McCarty has 15 years of legal experience as a transactional lawyer in private practice. He specializes in entity formation; business planning and structuring; mergers and acquisitions; and corporate, partnership, and real estate taxation. Prior to joining NexCore Group, he worked with both local and national law firms, including most recently Sherman & Howard in Denver.
In his role as Corporate Counsel, Tom coordinates and oversees the work with NexCore’s outside legal counsel and assists in the planning and structuring of business transactions.
Tom received his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association. He also holds degrees in Accounting and Engineering from the University of Colorado and Arizona State University, respectively.
