Silver Cross Hospital selected NexCore Group to develop, lease, and manage Pavilion A, the largest outpatient facility on its replacement hospital campus and a crucial component of the hospital’s strategic plan. Pavilion A houses 106,000 SF of physician office space and 68,000 SF of hospital outpatient services. NexCore worked closely with hospital staff, program managers, planners, designers, and engineers to design and implement a more coordinated, integrated model of care on the new replacement hospital campus.

Outpatient services were separated from inpatient services and located on the first two levels of Pavilion A, with physician offices housed on the four levels above. This single location for outpatient services in Pavilion A, with its own entrance and parking, provides a more convenient and efficient experience for patients. Pavilion A is also directly connected to the hospital on three floors, resulting in direct, convenient interaction between the inpatient and outpatient services.

NexCore developed the 6-level, 182,000 SF building in 12 ½ months, saving nearly $2/SF in construction costs and significantly more in construction period interest. NexCore also completed the hospital’s Primary Data Center (housed on the Lower Level of Pavilion A) two months ahead of schedule, ensuring the hospital would be ready for opening day. NexCore also recruited 178 physicians to Pavilion A — 102 of whom were new to the Silver Cross campus.

What Our Clients Say

"The start of the project got delayed a little bit because of issues on the hospital’s end. So NexCore was faced with getting a building done in 12-13 months that would typically take 16-18 months. They coordinated well with all of the team members and finished the 182,000 SF building in just under 13 months, which is amazing. To say that they can accelerate a project, and do it successfully is an understatement."
