SHSMD is comprised of healthcare executives who are actively involved in strategic planning for their organizations which is a prime focus of NexCore Group’s. Becker Hospital Review’s recent article “20 healthcare investment niches and 3 things to know: The evolution of healthcare as an investment area” refers to healthcare real estate investment as healthcare “lite”, and like the beer of the same name the market sector is as frothy as it’s ever been. Over the last 20 years, the healthcare real estate industry has evolved from the margins as an ignored (and even maligned) sector to become one of the hottest sectors in the real estate industry.

I recently attended the 2014 Annual Hospital Executive Forum, sponsored and organized by Colorado Healthcare Strategy and Management (CHSM), the state’s only non-profit organization providing educational sessions on all things healthcare. This year’s forum topic was “Financial Implications of the Push from Inpatient to Outpatient Care,” and the panel of healthcare heavyweights spoke to a sold-out crowd of over 300 attendees.
