NorthBay VacaValley Wellness Center

Project Summary

NorthBay Healthcare is a two-hospital system in Solano County, California, consisting of the NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield and NorthBay VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville. 

Located on the VacaValley Hospital campus, the Wellness Center is an innovative outpatient facility that combines outpatient services and physician practices with an integrated medical fitness center. NorthBay sponsorship of the medical fitness center shows its commitment to community health and to reducing the cost of care in a changing reimbursement environment. A feasibility study of the medical fitness center, conducted using a 12-minute drive time service area, indicates the following: 

NexCore Group provided a full range of development services including strategic planning, ownership, financing, leasing, property management, and asset management.
 
The NexCore team collaborated closely with NorthBay to pursue lean design attributes in its new VacaValley Wellness Center. The health system was looking to do more with less, improve its clinical efficiency and operations, and elevate the patient experience. More specifically, NorthBay wanted to create an environment supportive of the clinician team working together to provide the best possible patient care.
